Mr. Porferio L. Soloria, Jr. and Mr. Meljun C. Panelo receive their awards as Dangal ng Bayan in this year’s Philippine Civil Service Anniversary held at Diego Silang Hall, City of San Fernando, La Union, September 12, 2019.

Soloria, Administrative Aide III, is one of only two Dangal ng Bayan awardees from Region 1 who qualified as a National Semi-finalist.

Soloria’s award was conferred by President Rodrigo Duterte himself during the Outstanding Government Workers awards rites on September 10 at the Malacanang Palace.

According to President Duterte, the conferment of their awards is intended not only to motivate government workers to do their job well but also to give due recognition to their exemplary and selfless public service.

Mr. Meljun Panelo, Administrative Assistant III, is a Regional Awardee for Dangal ng Bayan.

Soloria and Panelo were nominated by Mr. Franklin Quinzon of DMMMSU SLUC.

The Civil Service Commission, through the Honor Awards Program (HAP), holds an annual Search for Outstanding Government Workers that aims to recognize and reward government workers that contribute to the attainment of efficiency, economy and improvement of government operations.

The awards rites was held in celebration of the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary which is now in its 119th year.
