Despite the challenges amid the ‘new normal’ brought about by the CoVID-19 pandemic, DMMMSU successfully carried out its 1st Quarter Regular Board Meeting for 2020, at the Conference Room, Central Administration Building, Bacnotan, La Union on May 5, 2020.
Besides the Members of DMMMSU Governing Board and President Jaime I. Manuel, Jr., who is also the Vice Chairman of the Board, the Vice Presidents and Heads of Academic Units of the University were also invited as resource persons.
Video conferencing with CHED Commissioner Prof. Prospero ‘Popoy’ de Vera, who is the Chairman of DMMMSU Governing Board, was made possible through the help of IT experts headed by MIS Director, Dr. Stephan Kupsch.
Kupsch narrated that he and the members of his MIS team namely Jake Alminiana, Odeson Nillo, and Kismet Rey Tabafunda prepared and bench tested the system the day before the Board Meeting. During the meeting itself, the MIS team did their best to ensure speedy internet connection. Through their assistance, the video teleconference went glitch free.
All matters (fiscal, academic, and administrative) were approved.
