After their orientation on the conduct of Internal Quality Management System (IQMS) Audit which was held on September 25, 2020 via Google Meet, the 35-member team of University Internal Quality Auditors are all set to conduct their first audit which kicks off today, September 28, 2020, at the Mid La Union Campus (MLUC) and the Open University System (OUS).

The team, spearheaded by Dr. Estrella N. Perez, VP for Administration, will move to the South La Union Campus (SLUC) tomorrow, September 29. On the 30th, they will audit at the North La Union Campus (NLUC), the National Apiculture Research Training and Development Institute (NARTDI), and the Sericulture Research and Development Institute (SRDI).

The audit aims to determine the extent of conformity of the Quality Management System (QMS) to planned arrangement such as those defined in the quality policy, policy objectives, standard operating procedures, the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015, and DMMMSU policies; to ensure proper implementation of the QMS; and to provide information on the results of audits for management review.

Dr. Emmanuel J. Songcuan serves as the audit leader at MLUC, Dr. Arriane Michelle F. Fabro at SLUC, and Dr. Nona M. Rivera at NLUC, NARTDI, and SRDI.

Audits are held twice a year but special audits may also be scheduled. (Ayu)
