Hon. Mario Eduardo Ortega reelected President of DMMMSU Federated Alumni Association

To elect the new set of executive officers of DMMMSU Federated Alumni Association (DFAA) who will be serving from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024, the elected officers of the alumni association from the three Campuses and the Open University System gathered at DOUS Multi-Purpose Hall on October 10, 2020.

Led by the reelected and current President of DFAA, Hon. Mario Eduardo C. Ortega, the following are the other elected executive officers:

  • Vice President: Allen Ngilangil
  • Secretary: Delia M. Imperial
  • Treasurer: Remedios Corpuz
  • Auditor: Cecil Sanchez
  • Business Manager: Rodolfo de Vera, Jr.
  • PRO: Susana Buccat

The executive officers, 2 Board of Directors from each of the alumni associations from the three campuses and the OUS comprise the Alumni Council.

The election via secret ballot was supervised by the DFAA election committee composed of Dr. Luzviminda Salamanca, Chair; and members namely: Marites Rivera, Christine Joy Ugay, Joel Estacio, and Raffy Espiritu.

In his speech, Hon. Ortega called for the unity of the members in the association. President Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. in his speech further encouraged collaboration among the alumni associations from various units of the University and DFAA. He also acknowledged the priceless contributions of Hon. Ortega in the Board of Regents.   (Ayu)
