In celebration of LIS Month, DMMMSU Library Unit has prepared various activities that encourage the showcase of talents of students and employees.

One of the activities is story telling where selected story-tellers are featured. Another activity is “Layb Life” where participants send in photos taken in DMMMSU Libraries before the lockdown with a 30-word description. Still another is “TikBook” where participants send in 1 to 2-minute video centered on the theme “Libraries as catalysts in the New Normal Environment: Changes, Reforms, Transformations”.

Below are the mechanics for “TikBook”:

1. This contest is open to all bonafide DMMMSU constituents, regardless of campus.
a. CATEGORY A – students
b. CATEGORY B – faculty and staff

2. Participants shall be limited to one to five (1-5) persons per entry.

3. The TikTok Video must reflect the theme “Libraries as catalysts in the New Normal Environment: Changes. Reforms. Transformations.”

4. Entries shall be limited to one to two (1-2) minutes only.

5. All entries must be submitted via email to library.nluc@dmmmsu.edu.ph on or before November 15, 2020. The email must include the subject TikBook Challenge. The list of the names of participants with their Courses and Year levels (for students) / Departments or Units (for faculty and staff) and Campus must also be indicated in the email.

6. All entries submitted shall be uploaded by the Library on its Official Facebook Page on November 16, 2020.

7. Viewing, Reacting and Sharing shall start on November 16, 2020 8:00 AM until November 27, 2020 11:00 PM.

8. The most number of reactions and shares shall be awarded as 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively and shall receive corresponding prizes and certificates.

Students and faculty members and nonteaching personnel are encouraged to participate in the various activities.
