Three Senior High School students of the Laboratory High School received an early Christmas gift from the LHS alumni on December 18, 2020.Monica M. Pumares (Grade 12 STEM), Jenly Marc A. Estoesta, (Grade 12 STEM), and Jeny Romero, (Grade 12 HUMSS) each received a Samsung Galaxy Tab T515 packed with a SIM card and pre-loaded with a 6-month load allowance.The devices were donated by Elwood N Avena (Batch 1993), Emmie N. Avena (Batch 1995) and Eric N. Avena (Batch 1997) in support of the SLUC Alumni Association’s project, “Donasyon Mo, Kinabukasan Ko”. Ms. Emmie N. Avena personally turned over the devices to the students and their parents.The students will be using the tablets for their learning needs for the next grading period until they graduate from the high school next year. The devices will then be lent to the next batch of students who will be needing the devices for their online learning needs, as stated in the Memorandum of Agreement signed by the students.Also present in the awarding were some LHS faculty members headed by their principal, Dr. Ryan L. Cerveza, Head of Alumni Affairs, Ms. Necitas Cabrera, and SLUC Alumni Association officers: Prof. Rodolfo De Vera (Board of Director) and Prof. Christopher M. Jimenez (Vice-President). They also presented Ms. Avena their token of appreciation for their generosity and continued support to the Alumni Association of DMMMSU-SLUC.
