The library, being the backbone of the University in the provision of high quality educational and research materials is passionate about reading and learning. And now it is adding a new media platform to share that passion. The SLUC Library in collaboration with DZAG 97.1 FM Radyo Pilipinas- Agoo will market their library resources and services to the community beginning today, February 18, 2021. According to Dr. Nancy F. Galban, SLUC Library Services and Development Head, the idea for the program originated from the fact that everyone has the right to access reliable and accurate information especially in this time of pandemic. “Radio broadcasting is a very strategic and economical way to reach out users especially that not all have the access to Internet,” she added. The project series called “DMMMSU-SLUC Library-On-Air,” includes on-air dissemination of DMMMSU Libraries’ services and varied collections; and delivery of on-air storytelling which is expected to promote and develop the listener’s love for reading.

Through the program it is expected that an active and dynamic promotional activities would be carried out to help increase visibility of resources and services to the academe. More information regarding the program can be accessed through SLUC Library’s FB Page which can be accessed here: (https://www.facebook.com/dmmmsuslucmainlibrary). (ZM)
