To promote awareness among faculty members and staff about digital citizenship and how to become responsible digital citizens, as well as how to maintain health and emotional wellness in the Digital World, DMMMSU held a training on digital citizenship on June 9 and 10, 2021.

Participants from NLUC, NARTDI, and SRDI attended at the International Convention Center while participants from MLUC, SLUC, and OUS participated online via zoom conference call.
The participants were supervised by their respective team leaders namely, Dr. Edelita C. Ebuenga, Dr. Alvin Malicdem, Prof.Enrico G. Dacanay, and Prof. Darwin Llavore.

On the first day, Prof. Jeoffrey B. Layco and Prof. Ardee Joy T. Ocampo of Lorma Colleges discussed digital communication, digital literary, and digital health and wellness; while Ms. Fleur De Lis A. Nadua of the Department of Information and Communications Technology lectured on digital governance, cyber security, and data privacy.

The second day was devoted to discussions on topics namely digital access, cyber law, and cyber crime as well as digital commerce which were delivered by Pltcol. June Paolo O. Abrazado of the Cyber Patrolling and Intelligence Unit of the PNP, and Mr. Jan Erich Calderon of CollabSPACE, San Fernando City, respectively.

About 300 faculty members and staff from the whole University participated in this training which was funded from the University’s GAA Fund and with Dr. Rhoda Lilan as the project leader.
