Mr. Ernesto C. Collo, Jr., a BA Communication faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and University scholar, presented his research collaboration finds at the 14th National and International Humanities and Social Sciences (HUSOC) Network Conference held on July 15 to 16, 2021. The conference theme is “Moving from Disruption to Resilience: The Dynamics of Humanities and Social Sciences.”

Hosted by Naresuan University in partnership with premier Thai institutions, the HUSOC Conference is an invitation among academics, researchers, students, and the general public to engage in a discursive platform that explores recent developments in the humanities and social sciences.

Founded on a research culture that appreciates the rigors of humanistic and linguistic studies, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University (PSRU) in Phitsanulok, Thailand collaborated with Mr. Collo in a study titled “Short Words in the Legacy and New Media of The Nation and Bangkok Post” as a contribution to local and campus journalism.

In 2016, DMMMSU forged a partnership with PSRU that allowed both institutions to host exchange programs and short-course language trainings. Mr. Collo, alongside Prof. Prescilita Villanueva and Mr. John Torres, represented the University in its first Faculty Exchange Program at PSRU in 2017.

This research collaboration is a manifestation of DMMMSU’s commitment to the internationalization of research projects and programs. (Ernesto Collo)
