DMMMSU-SLUC hurdled the Virtual First Survey Visit conducted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. on October 4 to 8, 2021.

Three programs were surveyed and evaluated– Bachelor of Arts in English Language, and Batsilyer ng Sining sa Filipino of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), and Master of Science in Biology of the College of Graduate Studies (CGS).

During his speech, DMMMSU President Jaime I. Manuel Jr. emphasized the significance of accreditation. Meanwhile, Chancellor Joanne C. Rivera underscored that DMMMSU-SLUC is committed to providing a conducive work culture to the students where they learn, grow and excel professionally.

During the Exit Conference, the AACCUP Accreditation team members gave their positive feedback on the documents submitted for review. They also noticed the warmth exhibited by DMMMSU officials and faculty during the accreditation week.

“Teamwork works at DMMMSU. The support you are receiving from the university officials down to the faculty and stakeholders are very evident, and that makes DMMMSU different,” Dr. Divinagracia M. De Guzman, AACCUP Accrediting Team Coordinator, said during her speech.

As for her part, Dr. Raquel D. Quiambao, Dean of CAS, expressed her gratitude to the  AACCUP accreditors for their feedback to further improve the three CAS programs.

“Their recommendations will lead us in making our programs capable of delivering quality service in instruction, research, and extension, which will contribute to the realization of our vision of becoming a globally competitive university. These will improve our systems, procedures, implementation, and outcomes,” she explained.
