The College Forum, the official student publication of the DMMMSU-SLUC, has once again pounced for another victorious hunt as its members and the publication itself snap multiple awards from the 4th OSSEI National Webinars and Writing Competitions in Campus Journalism hosted by the Organization of Student Services Educators, Inc.

TCF’s Chief Layout Artist Romar Glenn Flores and Associate Editor John Dovi Gonzales bagged the second and third places, respectively, in the Page Layout and Design competition, specifically for brochure. Meanwhile, Senior Writer Ailene Flores brought home the third spot and Forum’s very own Editor-in-Chief, Divine Arcel Munar, received an honorable mention in Editorial Writing, English Category.

On the other hand, Senior Editor Aivan Jomar Gualberto also received an honorable mention in the Filipino category of the same competition. Brandishing two of the finest editorial cartoonists, Chief Digital Artist Jayson Javier and Chief Cartoonist Elston Caleb Viray vanquished the competition, sitting sweatless at first and second place in Editorial Cartooning about Historical Revisionism, respectively.

Unsurprisingly, the alpha duo Divine Arcel Munar and Senior Editor Gener Orencia stomp off the opposition in the Published Feature Story category with “Agkammet Tayu Kailian: Aroo, A Taste of Heritage”, securing nothing less than what it deserves: the first place.

In addition, DMMMSU SLUC’s entry for the Best Published Editorial Cartoon marked “Fake News” grabbed third prize amongst others. Furthermore, The College Forum’s Perspective snatched honors tie with Northwestern University (The Review) in the Facebook Platform competition. The three-day webinar was held on May 21, May 28, and June 4, 2022. The winners are expected to receive certificates from the contest organizers.
