DMMMSU facilitated the team building activities of the Commission on Higher Education Office of the Chairperson Staff at Aureo Resort, San Fernando City, La Union on  June 13, 2022.

Participants attended the Management Team Building Program which consists of games and challenges aimed at evoking creativity, leadership, responsibility, patriotism, excellence, service and cooperation among the participants. It was facilitated by Vice President for Administration, Dr. Estrella N. Perez; and SLUC Chancellor, Dr. Joanne C. Rivera— with the assistance of the Director for Internationalization, Linkages and ETEEAP, Dr. Jesus Rafael B. Jarata; and SLUC Head for Cultural Affairs, Dr. Rodelio V. Indong.

Dr. Perez emphasized that in order to achieve the goal of the Commission, teamwork, and mutual respect is essential. A high regard to every individual should also be accorded.

To jumpstart the activities, warm-up games were played by the staff such as the balloon name hunt which aims to strengthen the participants’ bond and camaraderie. They also played jigsaw puzzle with a twist— where they picked and posted on the wall qualities and values of a team which they explained during the group processing.

They also had fun playing the picture-perfect activity, in which they were to recreate a wide variety of photographs using only themselves. It is a collaborative team experience that encourages to work as a team, to help each other with ideas and solutions. The egg drop game was the last activity where they had to protect and cover their egg using only pieces of paper available to them. A team member had to drop the egg from 9 feet high and the team with no broken egg won.

Meanwhile, Chairman J. Prospero E. De Vera III posed for photo opportunity with the staff and facilitators during the closing program and wrapping-up activity. (rjbj)
