Civil Service Commission- Region 1 Office (CSC-RO I) headed by its Regional Director, Dr. Hedy Jose B. Lardizabal, presented PRIME HR Maturity Level II certificates attesting DMMMSU’s excellent Recruitment, Selection, and Placement; and Performance Management. The awarding ceremony was held at DMMMSU’s International Convention Center on December 9, 2022.

CSC awarded DMMMSU its certificates on Maturity Level II in Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) Rewards and Recognition, and Learning and Development Systems at the same venue on March 29, 2022.

Having passed CSC standards on competencies, systems, and practices, DMMMSU has now in its roster of accomplishments excellent performance in the four pillars of PRIME-HR namely 1) recruitment, selection, and placement; 2) learning and development; 3) performance management; and 4) rewards and recognition. This implies that DMMMSU is now qualified for a Bronze Award if it hurdles the interview with PRIME-HR assessors which is slated on December 15 and 16, 2022.

In her welcome remarks and message, Dr. Estrella N. Perez, VP for Administration, explained the significance of the awards.

“The recognition that we will receive and have received are manifestations that we can be better than what we have been. The way to go higher is open. We have the options. Meritocracy and Excellence are not only for HRM but we consider this as a significant jumpstart to many more. The soonest will be our way to Bronze Award,” she added.

Meanwhile, President Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. received the challenge of Dir. Lardizabal: “We have made quite a journey in our determined efforts to continually improve, and as we elevate to a higher maturity level, we steer our human resources and the organization towards a more efficient and effective public service delivery.”

Further in his speech, President Manuel expressed his utmost desire as the University President – that he may turn over DMMMSU to the succeeding President [after his second term which starts on February 8, 2023] in a much better state than it was.

The awarding ceremony was attended in by the members of the Administrative Council, the HRM Officers and Personnel from the various units of the University, as well as Dir. Cornelia M. Rillera, Assistant Regional Director of CSC Region-I, and other officials from CSC-RO I.  (Ayu)
