Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) forges partnership with Philippine Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) through a Memorandum of Understanding signed at the World Citi Colleges Aeronautical and Technological College (WCC-ATC) Binalonan Campus last January 20 to 22, 2023.

This is an offshoot of the Philippine Partnership Study Mission participated by Higher Education Institution (HEI) representatives— including the DMMMSU President Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. at the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) 2022 Annual Conference in Canada in December last year. The PCNS’ roadmap is structured in themes: people and society, administration and governance, environment and climate, and teaching and research.

DMMMSU also signed bilateral agreements with the Tarlac State University (TSU), The Manila Times College of Subic (TMTCS), World Citi Colleges (WCC), and WCC Aeronautical and Technological Colleges (WCC-ATC).

The agreements signed with these institutions are geared towards the development of capacity-building programs in various areas of interest (engineering, teacher education, nursing, allied health sciences, communication and media, technology education, tourism management, adult education, community engagement, and other related fields) for sustainable community development. Scope of activities include exchange of research and educational materials, publications, and academic information; faculty and student exchange, granting of dual degree and joint degree programs and micro-credentialing, and technical assistance in support of international cooperation— among many others.

DMMMSU Vice President for Academic and Affairs, Dr. Elsie M. Pacho, and the Director for Internationalization, Linkages, and ETEEAP, Dr. Jesus Rafael B. Jarata, represented DMMMSU. Presidents and representatives of participating universities and colleges namely the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Northern Bukidnon State College, Romblon State University, Far Eastern University, Universidad de Dagupan, University of Southern Mindanao, TSU, TMTCS, WCC and WCC-ATC were also present during the planning workshop and signing ceremony.
