DMMMSU team conducted a partnership mission and visited two of its institutional partners in Bangkok and Chonburi provinces from March 22 to 23, 2023.

The mission provided an opportunity for DMMMSU officials composed of Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Elsie M. Pacho; NLUC Chancellor, Dr. Junifer Rey E. Tabafunda; and Director for Internationalization, Linkages and ETEEAP, Dr. Jesus Rafael B. Jarata to visit and meet with officials of the Thaksina Business Technological College (TSN), under the Thai Tech Group, and Chonburi Technological College (CTC).

The visits ensured institutions’ commitment to further enable more academic and cultural circulations between students and faculty in these institutions.

For instance, Thai Tech Group committed to accommodating and supporting four batches of DMMMSU students to travel to Thailand and perform student-teaching activities. Accompanying these students will be faculty and/or staff who will also stay in Thai Tech Group school networks to conduct lectures and administrative and clerical functions for one to two weeks.

Graduate programs such as Master of Arts in Educational Administration will also be offered by DMMMSU in Thailand with an academic center in Thai Tech Group for Bangkok-based professionals. Thai Tech Group also wishes to avail of and participate in the ASEAN Summer Camp offered by DMMMSU to its partner institutions in the Region.

On the other hand, CTC is looking into the possibility of deploying its students to DMMMSU to participate in the International Credit Transfer Program and allowing its students to travel to the Philippines for a two-week onsite classroom immersion with DMMMSU students. CTC will also accept and accommodate DMMMSU students for the student exchange program (practice teaching).

DMMMSU will offer short-term pieces of training to CTC students and teachers and will give chance to DMMMSU faculty members who will serve as learning service providers to travel to Thailand to conduct the said pieces of training in CTC.

CTC is also eyeing to become DMMMSU’s center in Chonburi for the former’s offering of the Master’s program in Business Administration.

In December 2022, DMMMSU also visited Thaksina Business Technological College (TSN)— school network of Thai Tech Group— and intensified its commitment to internationalization by attending the bench learning and ceremonial signing of the renewal of its MOU.

DMMMSU also signed a 5-year agreement with the Association of Private Colleges of Technology and Vocational Education of Thailand (PVET) under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in October 2022.  Also last year, CTC—as a member school of PVET— sustained the partnership with DMMMSU deploying 22 education students to undergo virtual practice teaching.
