Mr. Jerald U. Saculles was tapped as the one of the keynote speakers during the 1st International Webinar and Undergraduate Paper organized by the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka (UHAMKA) in Indonesia.


With the theme, “English Role in Society 5.0: Current Trends and Issues”, the conference aimed to provide a platform for undergraduate students to present their research findings and engage in scholarly discussions related to English education.
In his keynote, Mr. Saculles emphasized the importance of embracing digital tools and platforms to foster effective language acquisition and student engagement. He discussed various pedagogical approaches and strategies that can be employed in an increasingly digitalized educational environment. Mr. Saculles also emphasized the significance of cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in English language instruction.
The participants consisting of students, academicians, and professionals in the field of English education from UHAMKA and other universities expressed their admiration for Mr. Saculles’ thought-provoking ideas and practical recommendations.


Mr. Saculles is a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English at Saint Louis College (Cum Laude). He took his Master of Arts in Language and Literature at the College of Arts and Communication, University of the Philippines Baguio. Currently, he is a full-time faculty member of the AB English Language Program of the College of Arts and Sciences of DMMMSU-NLUC teaching core courses such as Language and Media, Stylistics, and Issues and Perspectives in English Across the Professions. He is also designated as the Social Media Manager and In-Charge for Marketing and Communications of the College. He also served as the University Coordinator for Print Publication of DMMMSU.
