A session workshop on the Quality Management System (QMS) and crafting of Context of the Organization (COTO) documents was held at the Eriguel Hall on November 15, 2023.

The first session was conducted by Ms. Rima Q. Baldemor, quality monitoring and evaluation auditor, who discussed compliance with regulatory requirements of client satisfaction.

Dr. Emmanuel J. Songcuan, Head of the Internal Quality Assurance System, led a comprehensive discussion on preparing and aligning COTO Documents. This session focused on listing interested parties, conducting a SWOT analysis, risk assessment and control, and monitoring targets. During his session, Dr. Songcuan also led a workshop on revisions of COTO documents.

The final part of the workshop, presented by Prof. Raphael Job R. Asuncion, External Quality Management Auditor, and Prof. Jesus C. Rodriguez, Internal Quality Management Auditor, focused on responding to audit findings. Their presentations focused on root cause analysis and methodologies for implementing corrective, temporary, or permanent actions.

The workshop was designed to enhance participants’ comprehension and execution of quality management systems in alignment with the University’s preparation for its forthcoming ISO re-certification process. (By Zander Christopher Mercado)
