Ms. Daisy Franco, TLE Program Chair, Ms. Rosemarie Gavina, and Prof Randulph Navasca, both TLE faculty members from the North La Union Campus, attended the 5th National Convention and 2nd POTT Gawad Parangal sa Natatanging Guro 2023 at Teachers Camp, Baguio City on December 16-18, 2023. Anchored in the theme “ MATATAG Agenda: Redirecting EPP, TLE, and TVL Educators towards Accessibility, Quality, and Resiliency in Education, this event was organized by the Philippine Organization for TLE and TVL Educators, Inc. (POTTE Inc.)



The convention highlights the complexities of digital transformation in education by employing Industrial Revolution 5.0 in designing curricula for quality EPP, TLE, and TVL instruction. Discussions focused on integrating higher-order thinking Skills, promoting inclusive education, and utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to achieve digital resiliency and accessibility in EPP, TLE, and TVL education are paramount for quality 21st-century instruction. Likewise, discussions on High Impact Instruction were also given primary consideration through future thinking and Design Thinking Models in preparing future-ready teachers and learners for various industry standards and demands.
The event culminated in an awarding ceremony where Prof. Randulph Navasca of DMMMSU-NLUC was awarded the Most Outstanding Leader in TLE and TVL Education.
The DMMMSU-NLUC TLE team’s participation and award at the convention underscore DMMMSU’s staying at the forefront of educational advancements, making teachers future-ready. (By Rochelle M. Verganio)
