In a proactive move towards continuous improvement, the Library Services and Development (LSD) Team recently conducted its 2023 Year-End Review and Planning for CY 2024 at the MLUC Main Library on December 22, 2023.
The event started with the presentation of the drafted 2024-2028 LSD Development Plan. Dr. Sonia B. Siago, Director for LSD, spearheaded the planning activity. Under her guidance, library personnel meticulously presented their achievements and pinpointed areas where targets fell short.

To foster collaboration and inclusivity, the LSD Team was divided into five groups. Each group engaged in an intensive brainstorming session, focusing on reviewing and enhancing the LSD Development Plan. Specific emphasis was placed on individual targets and unaccomplished tasks, aiming to tailor the plan to the diverse goals of the library personnel.
The campus LSD Heads then consolidated the outcomes of these group efforts. These consolidated outputs will serve as the foundation for finalizing the development and operational plans for the upcoming years.
Following the productive planning session, the LSD Team indulged in a simple yet heartwarming Christmas get-together. The event provided a platform for professional growth and strategic planning and allowed the team to foster camaraderie and celebrate the holiday season in a festive spirit.
As the LSD Team looks forward to the challenges and opportunities that 2024 may bring, the commitment to excellence and continuous improvement remains at the forefront of their endeavors. (Sheena R. Pardilla)
