The University’s Cultural Affairs personnel emerged as among the best participants in the recently concluded Virtual CommTech Nusantara 2024: Let’s Dance Together event, which was organized and hosted by the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh (ITS) Nopember, Surabaya in Indonesia, from January 8 to 19, 2024.

Dr. Rodelio V. Indong (Best Participant & Best Group Project), Prof. Irene N. Gomez (Best Participant & Best Group Project), Prof. Vladimir Joy C. Cariaso (Best Group Project), and Mr. Rusty S. Liclican earned the recognition of the organizers and other participants from China, Malaysia, Colombia, Thailand, Vietnam, India and Russia.

The CommTech Nusantara 2024, which took place virtually, provided a platform for participants to showcase their cultural dances, celebrating Indonesia’s rich heritage and traditions and their own country of residence. It aimed to foster cultural exchange, unity, and appreciation among participants from different institutions.

ITS is a national public university in Surabaya, East Java, strongly emphasizing scientific, engineering, and vocational education systems. It is ranked 1st in Indonesia and 64th in the world based on the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Ranking 2021.
