Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) conducted a Graduate Tracer Study (GTS) Orientation and Write-shop at the College of Education’s Function Hall, DMMMSU-MLUC, City of San Fernando, La Union on March 8, 2024 to bolster its research initiatives and trace the career paths of its alumni.

The orientation-cum-write-shop capacitated faculty researchers from the North La Union Campus (NLUC), Mid La Union Campus (MLUC), Open University System (DOUS), and South La Union Campus (SLUC) in formulating program-based graduate tracer studies’ research proposals. This was spearheaded by Dr. Lher Verell S. Palabay, the Director for Alumni Affairs, with support from the Campus Heads of Alumni Affairs.

The Vice President for Academic & International Affairs, Dr. Elsie M. Pacho, who attended on behalf of University President Dr. Jaime I. Manuel Jr., and the Vice President for Research Development Innovation, Dr. Angelina T. Gonzales graced the write-shop. Meanwhile, Dr. Emmanuel J. Songcuan, the University Focal Person for SUC Levelling, outlined the purpose and significance of the GTS.

The write-shop proper was facilitated by Prof. Ma. Victoria C. Domingo, a Senior Education Program Specialist, and Dr. Keneth G. Bayani, the Director for Research. The faculty members were reminded that they would be credited with a 3-unit workload for their research.
