DMMMSU will host the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges – Region -1 (PASUC-1) Culture and the Art Festival 2024 at the Mid La Union Campus City of San Fernando, La Union, on March 19 to 22, 2024.

The festival features five main events with specific categories, namely visual arts ( painting, poster making, charcoal rendering, pencil drawing, photography), musical arts (show choir, standard choir, live band, vocal solo-kundiman, vocal solo-OPM, vocal duet-OPM, instrumental solo — classical guitar, violin, piano, banduria); performing arts/dramatic arts (radio drama and short and sweet plays – dialogue and musical); dances (contemporary dance,  Philippine folk dance, indigenous dance,  hip-hop/street dance); and the Search for Mr. and Ms. PASUC-1 2024.

An estimated 180 participants from each of the State Colleges and Universities in Region-1 will join in the festival. They will be billeted in the host campus.

The five SUCs include Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC), Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Pangasinan State University (PSU) and University of Northern Philippines (PNU).
