Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University Mid-La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC) took a big step towards improving its sports facilities by holding a groundbreaking ceremony on April 17, 2024. This marks the completion of the grandstand and the construction of a gymnasium.

After the ceremony, DMMMSU signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to enhance MLUC’s infrastructure.

Cong. Francisco Paolo P. Ortega V, Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr., Dr. Priscilo P. Fontanilla, Hon. Joaquin C. Ostrea,Jr., Hon. James Anthony T. Occasion, Dr. Armando Q. Ganal, Hon. Daniel T. Bolong, and District Engineer Jose G. Ginete, Jr., who played a crucial role in obtaining the Php 250 million MLUC Sports Complex project, took part in the ceremony.

The DMMMSU Sports Complex, located at Mid La Union Campus, is a component of a broader effort to offer exceptional sports and academic facilities. This program involves the finalization of a grandstand, the establishment of a gymnasium (Phase 1), and the creation of a 5-lane rubberized track oval.
