Dr. Joan V. Rivera, MLUC Head of Instruction and Coordinator for ETEEAP, and Ms. Rowena T. Badua, Coordinator for Home-Based Education, attended the 9th Evaluation Meeting: Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia (SEA-Teacher Project) on June 21-22, 2024 in Chiang Rai, Thailand.
Organized by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), the meeting aimed to review the past year’s implementation of the SEA-Teacher Project. This initiative is crucial for providing pre-service student teachers from various Southeast Asian universities with invaluable teaching experiences. The coordinators from DMMMSU joined educational leaders from across the region to discuss the project’s progress, address challenges, and plan for the upcoming batch of student exchanges.
The event offered a unique platform for universities to forge partnerships and explore new possibilities for conducting exchange programs. These interactions are vital for fostering educational cooperation and ensuring that the SEA-Teacher Project continues to enrich the professional development of pre-service student teachers.
The DMMMSU representatives, Dr. Joan V. Rivera and Ms. Rowena T. Badua, were not mere attendees at the 9th Evaluation Meeting. They actively engaged in discussions and networking sessions, demonstrating their commitment to the SEA-Teacher Project. Their participation not only contributed to the evaluation process but also sparked new initiatives and partnerships that hold the promise of enhancing the quality of education across the region.
