DMMMSU-CCHAMS Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) recent graduate Claire S. Omiles won the first-place spot in the National Research Poster Contest at the 17th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week, held at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City from August 13 to 16, 2024.

Claire S. Omiles presented the research “Development of ReproLearn to Provide Reproductive Health among Adolescents in Agoo, La Union”. The research aimed to revolutionize reproductive health education by developing a mobile application tailored for adolescents in Agoo, La Union. This research received funding from the Region 1 Health Research and Development Consortium.
The research was a collaborative effort with co-authors Liana Keith V. Minimirito, Carla Mae L. Panergo, Geraldine T. Rivera, Krystal Lhyn M. Tactay, and Flora Mae V. Vallejo, who are also graduates of BSN degree of DMMMSU last June 2024. They were mentored by Ms. Jima J. Mamungay.
The PNHRS Week is an annual celebration that serves as a platform for advancing health research and information exchange among stakeholders through parallel and plenary sessions, regular forums, and focus group discussions. Omiles’ outstanding achievement showcases the talent and innovation within the nursing community.
