Two educators from DMMMSU – South La Union Campus (SLUC) College of Education (CE) were recognized during the “Gawad Saliksik: Lasallian Research Recognition 2025”, held at De La Salle University (DLSU) on February 5, 2025.
Prof. Ryan L. Cerveza, a doctorate alumnus, and Prof. Jan Kenneth R. Laguardia, a doctorate candidate, received awards under Category B for their collaborative research project entitled “Course Experience as the Predictor of Career Personal Efficacy.”, alongside their mentor Dr. Minie Rose Lapinid.
The annual Gawad Saliksik event celebrates the research achievements of more than 600 Lasallian faculty members, researchers, and students from senior high school, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. Awards are given in various categories; A) faculty members who published with local and international collaborations in accredited journals, B) students who published in preferred journals, C) faculty members who completed externally funded projects, D) faculty members with accumulated Scopus papers, and E) faculty members servings as editors in credited citation index journals.
At present, Prof. Cerveza serves as a Program Coordinator for the SLUC College of Graduate Studies’s Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education, while Prof. Laguardia leads as the Principal of the Laboratory High School on the same campus.
