The Faculty Association of the North La Union Campus (FAN) successfully conducted its annual FAN Day cum benchmarking and team-building activity at Tarlac and Pampanga on April 14–15, 2025.
On the first day, the delegation visited two higher education institutions—Tarlac State University (TSU) and Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU). The learning visit aimed to gain insights into the best practices of both universities, especially in areas such as food processing, research, and extension services.
Led by FAN President Engr. Rufo A. Baro, the officers paid a courtesy call to TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco. The courtesy call followed a productive discussion on food technology innovations and research strategies. The TSU visit also included a guided tour of the University’s facilities, particularly the food processing laboratories.
The visit to PSAU further enriched the participants’ knowledge about agricultural research, community extension, and value-adding strategies in agri-based products, particularly on their tamarind flagship program.
The group proceeded to Lola Corazon Leisure Farm in Candaba, Pampanga, where on the second day, team-building activities were held. The fun-filled activities aimed to foster camaraderie, teamwork, and strengthen the bond among the faculty members. The two-day event provided a balance of professional development and personal interaction, contributing to the overall growth and unity of the faculty association.
