The Faculty Association of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (FAD) conducted Faculty Day 2025 – a day of camaraderie, wellness, and advocacy – at Poro Point Baywalk, City of San Fernando, La Union, on April 25, 2025.

Anchored in the theme: Run for a Cause, Race for Recovery, the event was participated in by members and officers of FAD, led by Dr. Mark Anthony C. Ochoa, Faculty Regent and President of FAD, and facilitated by FAD Executive Officers and Board of Directors. The initiative sought to promote social justice through solidarity efforts for colleagues facing serious medical illnesses or conditions. Each member contributed 200 pesos for the cause.
The day kicked off early with the registration of participants at 4:00 AM. The program included Prof. Wenceslao R. Quinto’s opening remarks and inspirational messages by Dr Priscilo P. Fontanilla, Jr., Vice President for Planning and Development, and Dr. Vicky A. Agpasa, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs.
Participants engaged in a series of wellness activities, beginning with stretching exercises led by NLUC PATHFIT Instructors before the 5K and 3K Fun Run. A Zumba session energized the crowd, followed by team-building games, and intermission numbers by newly hired faculty members.
