The College of Education-NLUC, with the support of the Student Teacher Association led by its adviser Dr. Estrella L. Viste, conducted a Send-off Party for the graduating CE students at the Ortega Memorial Center, on April 23, 2025 with the theme Dream, Believe, and Achieve: Empowering Educators of the Future.
The program opened with a welcome address by Dr. Marife D. Cariaso, Program Chair of SED, followed by an inspirational message delivered by Mr. Reynaldo E. Laberinto, Principal II of Pallogan Elementary School, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur. In his message, he reminded the student teachers that dreams alone are not enough to achieve success. He stressed the importance of believing in oneself, taking consistent action, and seeking guidance through prayer. He explained that while having dreams provides direction, it is the combination of self-confidence, hard work, perseverance, and faith that leads to actual accomplishment. Mr. Laberinto encouraged the future educators to remain committed to their goals, to face challenges with resilience, and to continue striving for excellence as they prepare to take their place in the teaching profession.
Dr. Criselda G. Sario introduced the guest of honor and speaker, while Dr. Nora A. Oredina, Dean of the College of Education, gave the congratulatory and send-off message.
During the program, students from different majors presented an intermission number. Erwin G. Agustin turned over the symbolic key of responsibility to the incoming fourth-year students, represented by Jhomarie Dulay, who also delivered the acceptance speech. The program concluded with class speeches and a toast, followed by words of gratitude from Bea Desiree Ferrer and closing remarks delivered by Prof. Joel Agullo, Head of Student Affairs and Services.
