DMMMSU Finance staff completed a five-day onsite training on the Enhanced Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS) and Electronic Budget (eBudget) System Version 2.1 for National Government Agencies held at the newly constructed DMMMSU College of Medicine AVR, Agoo, La Union from April 21 to 25, 2025.

Organized by the Commission on Audit (COA) and DMMMSU’s Finance Services Division, the training aimed to equip finance staff with skills necessary for effective financial management and reporting using automated systems aligned with the Philippine Public Sector Accounting Standards (PPSAS) and the Revised Chart of Accounts (RCA).

Participants included the university’s Director for Finance Services, Chief Accountant, Budget Officer, Director of Internal Audit, Systems and Development Office Head, along with accountants, budget officers, bookkeepers, and MIS heads from DMMMSU’s operating units.

Resource persons and assistant technical personnel from COA served as facilitators, while DMMMSU’s audit team joined as observers.

During the sessions, participants learned system setup, account configuration, data migration, database management, and troubleshooting, with hands-on exercises using live databases.

The training aligns with DMMMSU’s strategic goals of enhancing governance, improving budget utilization, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. (By Jesus Rafael B. Jarata)
