Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC) honored the April 2025 Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination (REELE) passers through a recognition ceremony at the Main Library AVR yesterday, May 22.

Engr. Ariel V. Cañedo, Program Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), and Dr. Lorenzo L. Bacani, Dean of the College of Engineering, warmly welcomed the attendees with inspiring remarks and thoughtful reflections.

The newly installed Chancellor, Dr. Victorio C. Palabay, delivered a congratulatory message, urging new engineers to pursue “continuing innovation towards the achievement of a world-class standard,” a vision he himself embodied when he successfully secured significant funding for the laboratory upgrades of the College of Technology in 2019. Reflecting on this experience, he highlighted the importance of perseverance in overcoming obstacles as a key to achieving professional success.

Engr. Morielliza P. Vicente, a board passer herself, delivered an inspirational message, offering relatable advice to her peers. Her words were followed by a special performance from Engr. Denver B. Palabay, who added a celebratory touch to the event.

In April, DMMMSU graduates garnered a 72.86% passing rate, surpassing the National Passing Rate of 61.37% in REELE. To add, DMMMSU also placed 21st in the Top Schools with 50 and above examinees, with at least an  80% passing rate. (By Arrianne Michelle Fabro)
