A total of 112 students from the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Open University System (DMMMSU – DOUS) graduated from the National Service Training Program (NSTP) on June 14, 2025. The ceremony was held at the College of Management Audio Visual Room, Mid-La Union Campus.

The graduation highlighted NSTP’s role in shaping civic responsibility, promoting volunteerism, and developing leadership among the youth, while reinforcing the University’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.

Dr. Bernardo D. Lamadrid, Executive Director of DOUS, led the confirmation of graduates and commended them for embracing the values of service and compassion. He encouraged the completers to apply their learning in real-world settings, contributing to community building and national development.

Keynote messages and reflections were also delivered by Prof. Joji Ann F. Regacho, NSTP Head of SLUC and guest of honor, and Dr. Jayson O. Madayag, Chairperson of the BEED Program. Both emphasized the impact of NSTP in shaping socially aware and engaged citizens. Dr. Geoffrey M. Badua, DOUS NSTP Head, opened the program with an invocation and helped lead the confirmation of graduates.The ceremony concluded with a message from Prof. Claudia Denise P. Barbadillo, Guidance Counselor and NSTP Trainer, who thanked supporters of the program and encouraged the graduates to carry forward a culture of service through outreach and community work.
