Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) made a major leap in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, moving from the 1501+ bracket in 2024 to the 1001–1500, this year.

The rankings assess universities worldwide based on their commitment and contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For 2025, DMMMSU participated in 15 out of 17 SDGs.

Among the highlights of DMMMSU’s performance are the following:

  • SDG 14: Life Below Water (Rank 201–300)
  • SDG 15: Life on Land (Rank 201–300)
  • SDG 1: No Poverty (Rank 301–400)
  • SDG 5: Gender Equality and SDG 13: Climate Action (Rank 401–600)
  • SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 6: Clean Water & Sanitation, SDG 7: Affordable & Clean Energy, and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption & Production (Rank 601–800)

DMMMSU also earned placements in the following categories:

  • SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities (Rank 801–1000)
  • SDG 3: Good Health & Wellbeing, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure, SDG 16: Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals (Rank 1001–1500)

This year’s higher ranking shows how DMMMSU is steadily turning its vision into action, making a difference in communities, caring for the environment, and working toward a more inclusive and sustainable future.
