Dr. Arrianne Michelle F. Fabro, Head for Strategic Communications, and Ms. Chinky W. Rivera, an alumna of MA in Technology Education Major in Technical-Vocational Schools, claimed the Best Conference Paper Award in the Social Sciences Track – Set A at the 2nd International Research Opportunities, Development, and Extension Outcomes (IRODEO) Conference 2025 which was held in Masbate City from June 15 to 18, 2025.
The award-winning paper titled “Educational Technology Integration at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University Mid-La Union Campus” was recognized for its relevance, innovation, and practical contribution to improving teaching and learning through digital integration in higher education. Ms. Rivera also won the Best Presenter award.
The conference was attended by researchers, scholars, and extension professionals from across the country and abroad. This was anchored in the “Innovative Pathways to Sustainable Development: Strengthening Inclusive Research and Extension Collaborations for Future-Ready Solutions.”
Organized by Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT), the event served as a platform to showcase academic research aligned with inclusive development, gender equity, and sustainability goals.
The recognition was formally awarded on June 18, 2025, at the closing ceremonies held in Masbate City, and signed by Dr. Rodolfo B. Burac, Jr., Vice President for Research, Development, Innovation, Creative Works, and Knowledge Management, and Dr. Arnel B. Millesca, SUC President III. (By Ayu)
