Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) commemorated a meaningful institutional milestone with a series of thanksgiving rites and ceremonial events held on June 25, 2025, at the Central Administration Complex in Bacnotan, La Union. The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass, followed by the unveiling and blessing of a commemorative marker, and the inauguration of the newly completed Multipurpose Building Phase 1.

The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass officiated by University Chaplain Rev. Fr. Emmanuel De Leon, SVD. Faculty, staff, and administrators gathered in reflection and gratitude for the University’s continued growth and success.

Following the Mass, University officials, along with Rev. Fr. De Leon, unveiled and blessed a new commemorative marker, an enduring symbol of DMMMSU’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and institutional development.

The celebration culminated with the inauguration and blessing of the Multipurpose Building Phase 1. This newly completed facility will serve as home to several key university offices and stands as a major step forward in DMMMSU’s infrastructure development agenda. The project reflects the University’s ongoing efforts to create a more conducive and service-oriented environment for its personnel, students, and stakeholders.

In his message, University President Dr. Jaime I. Manuel Jr. expressed appreciation to all individuals and teams whose collaborative efforts brought the project to completion, a reflection of the University’s commitment to delivering responsive, inclusive, and sustainable services in support of its mission.
