The College of Agriculture (CA) – SLUC, a recipient of the Swine Industry Recovery Project (SIRP), recently enhanced its expertise through two specialized trainings conducted by the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center I (DA-ATI-RTC I) in Tebag East, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan.
On June 5-6, 2025, the Farm Biosecurity Training equipped faculty members and staff with protocols to prevent and control African Swine Fever (ASF) and other swine diseases, focusing on disease detection and management.
Subsequently, from June 23–25, 2025, the “Trash to Cash” training addressed sustainable animal waste management and utilization strategies for improved livestock production.
