Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) and AA Biotek have officially launched a collaborative research initiative aimed at advancing sustainable agriculture, aquaculture, and environmental rehabilitation through microbial technologies.

The two institutions signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on July 15, 2025. The agreement marks the beginning of a research program titled “Harnessing Optimal Yields and Environmental Resilience with Microbial Technologies for Sustainable Agri-Aqua Solutions and Environmental Rehabilitation.” DMMMSU was represented by University President Dr. Jaime I. Manuel Jr., while AA Biotek was represented by its Founding Chairman and CEO, Mr. Edwin B. Espiloy.

Under the partnership, AA Biotek will provide innovative biological materials for use in 1,000 square meters of experimental plots dedicated to crops, livestock, and aquaculture. The company will also lend cutting-edge scientific equipment and offer technical support to ensure the successful implementation of the program.

DMMMSU will allocate the research site and designate a team led by Dr. Analyn V. Sagun as Program Leader, along with appointed project staff. The university will spearhead on-site experimentation and application of the microbial technologies.
