DMMMSU-SLUC Alumni Affairs Unit (AAU) pioneered the Alumni Orientation program for the graduating students last May 30-31, 2022.

Spearheaded by Head of the Unit, Dr. Janice Rhea P. Cabacungan, and alumni facilitators, the program aimed to strengthen the relationship between the Alumni Affairs Office and future alumni and to provide awareness to the graduating students on the support services of the office. It also served as a platform to keep them abreast of the on-site and online tracing and tracking activities of the University and creation of possible  social related projects in the future.

During his keynote address, Dr. Lher Verell Palabay, Director for Alumni Affairs, emphasized the importance of the alumni to the University. He also advised the graduating students keep connected with the University.

“Although we have a diverse community at SLUC, we share key values that bind us together; hence, find a way to give back to the community and the world”, said Dr. Jesus Rafael B. Jarata, Director for Internationalization, Linkages and ETEEAP, who represented Dr. Joanne C. Rivera, SLUC Chancellor.

Guest alumni Ms. Jennifer Purilan (BS Psychology Alumna 2016), Ms. Myla Sajol (BS Computer Science Alumna 2010), Mr . Justin Carlos Villanueva (Bachelor of Secondary Education Alumnus 2016) and Prof. Salvador Llavore (BS Nursing Alumnus 2015)  shared their experiences, expertise and tips on how to land employment after graduation.

Meanwhile, Ms. Angelita Domondon provided career advising and exit survey to improve the student services of the campus. (Janice Rhea P. Cabacunan)
