Brilliant students from the Elementary Laboratory School (ELS) shone bright at the Annual Academic and Literary Competition held at the Philippine Science High School – Ilocos Region Campus on February 11, 2023. In a day filled with rigorous challenges, these young talents proved their mettle and brought home victories in several STEM and literary categories.

Rhyss Theo R. Villanueva took first place in the Chemistry Olympiad; Klyde Rommhel C. De Vera, Alain D. Acierto Jr., and Paul Arkeen Arenas conquered the Math Trail; Cyrus Jade L. Montemayor reigned supreme in the Speed Typing competition; Sophia Agatha F. Milanes claimed victory in the ES-Sci Essay Writing contest; Leeyhanne Gabrielle D. Merelos and Zarren Allaina Bernardine V. Cruz emerged as champions in the Pagpapayaman ng Talasalitaan competition; and Ma. Stephanie Chloe I. Carreon captured first place in the Lens Culture/ Photo Essay competition.

The success of these students is a testament to the dedication and guidance provided by their coaches — Mr. Marvin V. Tandas, Ms. Maria Elena D. Dulay, Ms. Magdalena D. Estoque, Mr. Christopher Janne J. Regalado, Prof. Glaiza A. Jaravata, and Ms. CJ P. Dela Cruz, and the unwavering support of the ELS Principal Prof. Myrna Acas, faculty members, and parents.
