Lord Angeilo Abenes and Loreen Caud, two students pursuing Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology (BSIT) at the College of Information Technology (CIT), have made their mark in the IT Passport Exam conducted by the Philippine National IT Standards (PhilNITS) Foundation. The nationwide exam, held on April 30, 2023, saw Abenes securing the second spot and Caud claiming the third position. Additionally, 22 other examinees obtained certification, further highlighting their excellence as IT students.

The Information Technology Passport (ITP) Certification Exam is designed to evaluate individuals’ proficiency in IT knowledge and their ability to utilize IT in their field. The exam encompasses areas such as Technology, Strategy & Management.

PhilNITS conducts this half-day examination twice a year across various testing sites in the Philippines and DMMMSU, through the College of Information Technology, serves as one of the testing venues for the April session.

To equip students with qualifications that distinguish them among IT graduates and assess their field competency, the College encourages 3rd year BS Information Technology students to undertake the PhilNITS certification exam. CIT takes pride in hosting review sessions before the exam, ensuring that the examinees are well-prepared for the examination.
