Dr. Estrada and Dr. Oredina were recognized during the convention for their contributions to the program.

Anchored in the theme “Balik Scientist: Harnessing Global Science for Sustainable Development and Transformation,” the convention showcased the accomplishments and contributions of currently engaged Balik Scientists in advancing science, technology, and innovation in agriculture, aquatic and natural resources, health, industry, energy, and emerging technologies. It also highlights initiatives and collaborations forged with Philippine businesses and local industries.

The convention brought together Balik Scientists from various fields to share their insights, experiences, and success stories. The event also provided an opportunity for networking, future collaborations, and exchange of ideas. Through the event, the DOST hopes to foster S&T research culture, especially among local academic Institutions, National Government Agencies, Local Government Units, industries, and the private sector.

The 9th Annual Balik Scientist Program (BSP) Convention concluded with a call for continued collaboration and support in connecting the power of global science for sustainable development and transformation.
