DMMMSU hosts AACCUP Accreditation Survey Visit for 6 academic programs

Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) submitted its six programs for survey visit by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and University of the Philippines, Inc. (ACCUP) on September 2 to 4, 2024.

The programs evaluated were the Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management major in Entrepreneurship (4^th Survey Ph2) of the North La Union Campus; the Bachelor in Public Administration (4^th Survey Ph 2) and Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (4^th Survey Ph 2) of the Mid La Union Campus; the Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration (3^rd Survey Ph 2), Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education (3^rd Survey Ph 2) and Master of Arts in Physical Education (3^rd Survey Ph 2) of the South La Union Campus.

The three-day event began on September 2 with an opening program and document evaluation, followed by a virtual tour and presentation on September 3. The program culminated on September 4 with an exit conference and closing program.

During the opening program, Dr. Eduardo C. Corpuz, Chancellor of the Mid La Union Campus, delivered his welcome remarks, Dr. Joanne C. Rivera, Chancellor of the South La Union Campus, the Statement of Purpose, and Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr., DMMMSU President, the Opening Message.

Also, Dr. Tjaart Jan B. Estrada, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Tiffany Ruth R. Quinitip, Dean of the College of Management, presented the Accreditation Task Force.

Meanwhile, AACCUP Team Coordinator Dr. Jaime M. Forbes provided an orientation on the survey visit, after which he presented the team’s general impressions. His team comprised of the following national accreditors, namely Dr. Cristina R. Salvosa, Dr. Luisita A. Marzan, Dr. Florenda S. Frivaldo, Dr. Trinidad Pasong, Dr. Sisenando C. Masangcap Jr., Dr. Divina C. Ladrillo, Dr. Romel L. Tagumasi, Dr. Mildred A. Sebastian, Engr. Rosana C. Lat, Dr. Alonzo L. Mortejo, and Dr. Rhea A. Bunda.

The event concluded with a Pledge of Commitment led by the Chancellors of the North, Mid, and South La Union Campuses and a Statement of Dedication from Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. DMMMSU continues to ensure that its programs meet national and international standards by submitting its programs to assessment by AACCUP. (By Ayu)
