Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) has been listed as one of the medical schools eligible for the Medical Scholarship and Return Service (MSRS) Program for the Academic Year (AY) 2025-26. This initiative aims to support aspiring medical students in their education in exchange for service in underserved areas.

Alongside DMMMSU, several other higher education institutions (HEIs) — state universities and colleges (SUCs), local universities and colleges (LUCs), and private institutions are included in the program

These institutions are recognized for their role in providing accessible medical education while ensuring graduates serve in priority areas as part of their scholarship agreement.

The inclusion of DMMMSU and other HEIs in the MSRS Program reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s healthcare workforce by increasing the number of medical graduates serving in rural and underserved communities. The complete list of eligible institutions has been officially signed and released by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). (By Ayu)
