DMMMSU-MLUC recently hosted the prestigious Regional Annual Administrative & Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2025, a crucial evaluation of the university’s Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Unit. The event was attended by MLUC Chancellor, Dr. Eduardo C. Corpuz, Dr. Vicky A. Agpasa (VPAIA), and Dr. Loida M. Faller (Director, NSTP). With them are the RAATI Team led by their Chairman, COL Camilo A. Saddam, GSC (INF) PA, ROTC Training Staff headed by LTC Rosendo Borja PA RES, PAF Marching Band, and the Corps of Cadets.

The event, which drew evaluators from regional military commands, focused on assessing the cadet corps’ administrative efficiency and tactical proficiency, ensuring their readiness for academic and national service. The inspection was divided into two distinct segments – the administrative component meticulously examined the unit’s operational capabilities, scrutinizing records management, logistics, financial accountability, and training program effectiveness. Evaluators paid close attention to the Unit’s adherence to national standards and its ability to maintain a well-organized and disciplined structure.

The tactical segment showcased the cadets’ military bearing and combat readiness. Through a series of demanding activities, including a ceremonial parade, inspection in ranks, company drill, and theoretical examinations, cadets demonstrated their mastery of military protocols and knowledge. The inspection further tested their practical skills in map reading, squad tactics, and disaster risk reduction and response operations (DRRO), highlighting their potential for both military and civilian service.

The impressive performance of the DMMMSU MLUC ROTC unit garnered a rating of 94.135%, which underscores the institution’s commitment to developing well-rounded individuals capable of contributing to national defense and community resilience. The inspection results are expected to provide feedback for further enhancement of the ROTC program, ensuring the cadets are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to serve the nation effectively.
