Officials from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU)  visited the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) in Metro Manila to benchmark its internationalization practices and accreditation process with the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) last April 23, 2025. 

The DMMMSU delegation included Dr. Bench Lamadrid, Executive Director of the Open University System (OUS); Dr. Remedios Maja Cacananindin, Head of Student Admission and Records; and Dr. Jesus Rafael B. Jarata, University Director for International Affairs. The team was welcomed by Dr. Eduardo C. Zialcita, Dean of the UPHSD Graduate School.

During the visit, Dr. Zialcita addressed questions on international student admissions, including Chinese students, and shared insights into the challenges and procedures involved in CSCSE accreditation. 

This visit is a direct outcome of DMMMSU President Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr.’s recent participation in the 30th China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET 2025) held in Beijing. It forms part of the university’s broader commitment to advancing its internationalization agenda and strengthening global linkages, with the ultimate goal of attracting more international graduate students, particularly from China.
