Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) formally welcomed the newly elected officers of the United Non-Teaching Association (UNTA) through an oath-taking ceremony held at the Central Administration Complex in Raois, Bacnotan, La Union on June 19, 2025.
The ceremony served as a meaningful reminder of the University’s commitment to shared leadership and inclusive governance, as the newly elected officers stepped into their roles with the support of university officials, colleagues, and members of the academic community.
UNTA President Dr. Valoree B. Salamanca opened the program with a message of welcome and purpose, introducing the officers elected to serve for the 2025–2028 term. In her address, Dr. Salamanca shared her leadership vision, thoughtfully framed through the acronym UNTA, offering a clear direction and sense of purpose for the association’s next chapter:
- U – Unwavering commitment to serve, inspiring members to engage with passion and purpose;
- N – Never-ending pursuit of what is best for every member;
- T – Trusting the process always;
- A – Achieving the ultimate goal of the association, recognizing it as a continuous journey of development.

DMMMSU President Dr. Jaime I. Manuel Jr. delivered a message expressing the administration’s full support for UNTA and its collaborative initiatives. He acknowledged the indispensable contributions of employee-led organizations, including UNTA and the Faculty Association of DMMMSU (FAD), to the advancement of the University’s mission and strategic objectives.
