Mr. Jefrey P. Honrado, a graduate student in the Master of Arts in Language Teaching program at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University–South La Union Campus (DMMMSU-SLUC), has been awarded a 2025 Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program for International Teachers (FDAI) fellowship.

The United States (US) sponsored program offers international educators opportunities for academic coursework, professional development, and classroom immersion in host schools across the US. Honrado, currently a teacher at Baguio City National High School, will join a global cohort of teacher-leaders committed to fostering international educational exchange.
He attended the Pre-Departure Orientation and Send-Off Reception on June 25 in Manila, alongside fellow DMMMSU grantee John Mark Lachica, a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) awardee. The event, hosted by the Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF), gathered outgoing scholars, alumni, institutional partners, and US Fulbright representatives. DMMMSU’s Office of International Affairs also joined the event. (By Rowena T. Badua)
