Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) welcomed officials from Kalinga State University (KSU) for a benchmarking visit focused on international partnership agreements and academic mobility programs held at DMMMSU Central Administration in Bacnotan, La Union, on July 16, 2025.
During the visit, DMMMSU shared its comprehensive internationalization roadmap, highlighting partnerships across Asia, Europe, and North America, and its involvement in global mobility initiatives such as Erasmus+, SEAMEO SEA Teacher, and COIL.
DMMMSU’s Internationalization Affairs Team led in-depth discussions on the University’s institutional frameworks for formalizing Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), aligning international collaborations with academic and research priorities, and enhancing support systems for both outbound and inbound student and faculty exchanges.
Dr. Angelina T. Gonzales, Vice President for Research, Development, and Innovation, represented University President Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. during the event. In her message, she emphasized DMMMSU’s strong commitment to promoting Philippine higher education on the global stage. She also invited Kalinga State University to take part in two of the university’s major international events: the 3rd ASPULAN Indigenous and Social Sciences Research Symposium in October, and the 2025 International Research and Innovation Conference on Education, Engineering, and Agriculture (IRICEEA) in December.
