SLUCian places 3rd in reg’l DTI e-comics contest

Jayson Javier, a BS Mathematics student, won as 2nd runner up in the regional level of the Department of Trade and Industry Digital E-Comics Making Contest on October 19, 2020.

Javier’s e-comics piece was entitled “Mello, the Plantito.” He will receive a plaque of recognition and 5,000 worth of gift certificate.

Seven (7) contestants participated in the said competition. The contest was held virtually and their e-comics were sent via Google Mail. Awarding ceremonies was also done virtually via Zoom. The winner of the said competition will be the representative for the National Level contest.

The Digital E-Comics Making Contest is one of the department’s activities in line with the celebration of Consumer Welfare Month with the theme “Sustainable Consumer is the New Normal.” (John Dovi Gonzales)
