List of valid visa accepted for study at DMMMSU

The Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI) mandates that foreign students who wish to study in the Philippines should have a valid visa for study (please refer to E.O. 285). BI consistently reminds schools and universities to admit only foreign students who have student visa or permit to study. The following visas are accepted for study:

  • Student Visa
  • Special Study Permit
  • Pre-arranged working Visa
  • Special Retirees Resident Visa
  • Special Investors Resident Visa
  • Diplomatic Visa
  • Refugee Visa 47 (a)(2)
  • EO 226 (as amended by RA-8756) Section 13 (a-g)
  • Native Born
  • MCL
  • RA 7919
  • Temporary Resident Visa
  • Permanent Resident/Immigrant Visa

Visa types which are not on the list will be evaluated by the International Affairs Office whether they can be accepted for study.

For international students who will use a Special Study Permit (SSP) or Student Visa, the International Affairs will handle the processing at the Bureau of Immigration. The international student needs to submit his/her Student Visa or SSP application documents and requirements before they can get the be admitted to the University. Make sure to accomplish and submit also the Personal Data Sheet for international students.

For international students who will use other visa types (not SSP nor Student Visa), submit the following documents in order to get the Clearance for Confirmation:

  • Accomplished Personal Data Sheet for International Students
  • Photocopy of the following (bring original for verification purposes):
    • Latest Visa / Visa stamp on passport;
    • Passport Bio-page and stamps of latest departure and arrival in the Philippines;
    • ACR I-Card (front and back) / SRRV Card / SIRV Card (whichever is applicable);
    • 1 pc. 2×2 colored picture
    • Others, as deemed necessary by the University

International students need to coordinate with the Students Affairs and Services (SAS), Admission Office and the International Affairs Office for these concerns.
